Travel

Istanbul is accessible from two main airports, Sabiha Gökçen International Airport which is based on the Asia side of Istanbul and Istanbul Ataturk airport which is based on the European side. Istanbul Ataturk airport is the larger of the two and is situated only 4.97 miles from the hotel. All airports provide taxi services and a taxi from Ataturk airport should cost an estimated Euro 15. Istanbul is currently in the process of building a new international airport in the Arnavutkoy district in the European side of Istanbul. The airport is planned to be the largest airport in the world and is estimated to be open on the 29 October 2018. Once this airport opens Ataturk airport will close.

Passport

Passports must be valid for at least 60 days beyond the expiry date of the traveller’s visa or the end of the traveller’s visa exemption period.

Visa Requirements

Visa requirements differ from country to country. Turkey has introduced an e-visa scheme allowing nationals to apply for their visa in advance. Kiosks where you can buy visas on arrival are still available at the airports but fees are higher and can cause delays with your immigration process.

It is advised to check from a Turkish consulate in your country if you need a visa before your departure to Turkey.
